Nuclear Engineer/Health Physicist
This position supports the design of new and modified facilities and provides technical support to radiological protection and operating organizations. It also performs radiological analyses in support of design and operations. Provide guidance and radiological design requirements for design of new and modified facilities. Perform radiological design reviews and evaluations. Support startup of new and modified facilities. Develop technical bases and perform special studies in support of the radiological protection program.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics, or other related scientific discipline and a minimum of three to five years of experience performing duties similar to this position are required. Candidate must have experience in operational radiation protection practices and engineered solutions to reduce radiation exposures ALARA. Individual must have working knowledge of radiation shielding requirements and dose rate assessment computer codes, for example, QAD, MCNP, ANISN, and MORSE-CG.
PRA Associate Engineer
The Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Associate Engineer will be responsible for the application of risk methodology in support of nuclear plant operation. BS in nuclear engineering required.
This position requires familiarity with modeling equipment, human reliability and the ASME quality standard. In addition, the candidate should be familiar with PSA applications including maintenance rules, the significance determination process, and the use of risk information in license amendment requests. Additional knowledge in BWR technology and human reliability analysis would be of additional benefit. The person who fills this position will work in the corporate office but will occasionally travel to international nuclear plant sites.
